anatomy
noun
The branch of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, animals, and other living organisms, especially as revealed by dissection and the separation of parts.
bandage
noun
A strip of cloth or other material used to bind up a wound, sore, sprain, etc.
blood
noun
The red liquid that circulates in the arteries and veins of humans and other vertebrate animals, carrying oxygen to and carbon dioxide from the tissues of the body.
body
noun
The physical structure of a person or an animal, including the bones, flesh, and organs.
bone
noun
Any of the pieces of hard, whitish tissue making up the skeleton in humans and other vertebrates.
brain damage
noun
An injury to the brain that impairs its functions, esp. permanently.
diagnosis
noun
The identification of the nature of an illness or the other problem by examination of the symptoms.
health
noun
The state of being free from illness or injury.
hospital
noun
An institution providing medical and surgical treatment and nursing care for sick or injured people.
injured

Harmed, damaged, or impaired.
mask
noun
A covering for all or part of the face to prevent infection.
operation
noun
An act of surgery performed on a patient.
patient
noun
A person receiving or registered to receive medical treatment.
pharmacy

A store that sells drugs.
prescription

A written direction by the physician to the pharmacist for the preparation of a medicine or remedy to be used by a particular patient.
sick
adjective
Affected by physical or mental illness.
skin
noun
The thin layer of tissue forming the natural outer covering of the body of a person or animal.
thermometer
noun
An instrument for measuring somebody's temperature.
vaccine
noun
A substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.
veins
noun
Any of the tubes forming part of the blood circulation system of the body, carrying in most cases oxygen-depleted blood toward the heart.
